A Healthier You in 2014 – Knowledge is Power

Despite how simple a healthy lifestyle may seem, it’s actually a very complex procedure. The many steps necessary to achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are much more easily understood than accomplished. 6 of every 10 Americans are suffering from obesity.  Additionally, 7 of every 10 adults  are not receiving the minimum amount of sleep needed to function properly. In order to enact a healthier lifestyle, one first must understood the requisite elements. Below are some tips on succeeding your journey to a happy and healthy lifestyle.

1. Develop a regular sleeping schedule and routine. You want to be sure to set a specific time in order to attain the correct amount of sleep needed. Here, you can check out a chart listing the quantity of hours needed for different age groups.

2. Be cautious about what you eat. The number of calories essential to a person varies based upon gender, activeness, height, weight, age, etc. Here is a list that you can look at to manage your diet – it gives information for each age, lifestyle and the required calorie count.

3. Eat fruits filled with potassium such as bananas, cantaloupes, and oranges. On this chart, you can find the exact amount of potassium each person should consume daily.

4. Eat greens! I know they might not have the tastiest flavor, however, they are great for your body and provide: iron, calcium, potassium, and magnesium. Along with these minerals, greens contain vitamin K, C, E, and many B vitamins.

5. Be active! Get up, run, jog, play, have a great time! Your body must be in motion throughout the day in order for it to function properly.
