If you are a lover of books, the Festival of Books is definitely something that you do not want to miss. The Festival of Books is the largest book festival in the U.S. located at the USC campus. The festival attracts more than 150,000 attendants. It is also a yearly event that happened during the spring, in a weekend event. A couple of famous celebrities and authors attended the Festival of Books, and attendants have the opportunity to buy their books, along with interacting with them.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend because I had family stuff to do over the weekend, but I know some people that went and they said that they enjoyed themselves, and it was a fun experience. The Festival of Books has been around since 1996 and it had one simple in mind: bring together the people who are book lovers to the people who love to write books. Since then, Festival of Books became this huge platform that tourists and people around all through the Los Angeles County love to visit.

Festival of Books featured more than 500 authors, celebrities, musicians, chefs, and artists. People such as Gabrielle Union, Jenna Fischer, some Black Eyed Peas members, Mayim Bialik, and so much more attended.  Also, most importantly, the Festival of Books is free to the public! No tickets are required to buy. Some tickets ARE required to buy, but not to attend. The annual festival also honored novelist, John Rechy, for his outstanding achievement.

From the looks of it, the Festival of Books is an amazing experience for lover of books, such as myself, to interact with amazing authors, buy books, and enjoy themselves. Although, it is located in L.A. it’s an amazing opportunity you don’t want to miss. In case you do, remember that it’s an annual thing. You can always try again for next year.
