Monday, May 22, 2017 the 8th grade patio was taken away from 8th graders. Why? Some 8th graders decided to litter and throw food in the patio. Having all the 8th graders being told many times not to litter and pick after yourselves,  such as milk cartons, napkins, small plastics, sporks, etc. were scattered around. Not all 8th graders littered, but with the visible trash, the patio was a mess. Many 8th grade students felt bad having the privilege of having a designated area only for 8th graders, now only for the 6th graders, to be now taken away. In my opinion, the “8th grade patio” was there as an inspiration for 6th and 7th graders that during their last year here in Blackstock. They will finally have a place all for their own. Do you think it was fair that the patio was withdrawn from all 8th grade students? Is it okay for the current 7th graders, to not have their own patio next year? What do you think? Tell me your thoughts down below.
